IT Services for Biomedical Research, Health Sciences, and Healthcare Area 1 is defined as the intersection of IT and healthcare involving the design, development, creation, use, and maintenance of information systems for the healthcare industry and government agencies with healthcare related missions. The objective of this task area is to support biomedical research, health sciences and healthcare by performing studies and analyses, and by providing operational, technical, and maintenance services for the systems and equipment that interface with information systems throughout the federal government.  A comprehensive, but not exhaustive, sampling of work to be performed under this task area is shown below: a.
